Registered nonprofits whose core work is direct assistance to families of severely ill children: hospital-based family funds, disease-specific foundations, and regional or national charities.

Most grants fund direct family assistance programs for a year. Grant sizes are set case by case based on your program's scope and our available funds — there's no fixed minimum or maximum, and strong partnerships may grow into multi-year support.

A short mid-term check-in and a year-end report focused on outcomes: families reached, funds disbursed, and what changed. We fund your work — we try hard not to add to it.

Yes — international grantmaking is central to our model. You'll need registered charitable status in your country and basic financial statements; our team handles the cross-border diligence.

Applications are accepted on a rolling basis and reviewed as funds allow. If your fund is running dry mid-year, say so — timing emergencies are exactly the gap we aim to cover.

No. We support any severe childhood illness: cancer, congenital heart defects, organ failure and transplant, rare genetic and metabolic disorders, severe neurological conditions, and other catastrophic or chronic illness.

Treatment and medication costs insurance won't cover, travel to specialist care, lodging near the hospital, and everyday expenses — rent, utilities, groceries — while a parent steps back from work to care for their child.

Yes. Purpose Harbor is an international organization. We support families directly in many countries, and where a trusted partner organization operates locally we may connect you with them for faster help.

We review every complete application as quickly as we can — response times depend on volume and case complexity, and we confirm receipt so you're never left wondering. Urgent, treatment-blocking situations are prioritized: tell us your deadline and we'll do our best to work within it.

Never without your explicit written consent. Receiving help is not conditioned on sharing your story — most families we help are never mentioned publicly.
